Mumbai: Many sportstars took to social media on Sunday to wish their mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day. But a football team in Netherlands made the second Sunday of May even more special for their mothers with a heartwarming gesture ahead of the game.
Ajax, a football team based in Amsterdam, asked their players to celebrate Mother’s Day in a unique way by asking players’ mothers join them in a pre-match walk on.

Ajax, posted a video via their official Twitter handle, with a caption ‘Mother’s Day! If they can’t visit us on #matchday, let’s visit them!’.
While Ajax pleased their fans by beating their opposition Cambuur Leeuwarden, it was their pre-match gesture that won millions of hearts.
