The cricketer slammed his second IPL ton on Sunday

Mumbai: When he picks up the bat, even the ball refuses to touch the willow. The white is scared to be slashed hard out of the park. AB de Villiers is not solely a cricketer, time and again he has proved his Superman skills. On Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium, he slammed his second Indian Premier League century for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Mumbai Indians.. His first was for Delhi Daredevils against Chennai Super Kings in 2009. These five facts makes him a superhero.

Drinks boy: AB carried water for his brothers in the family garden during cricket matches. He apparently found the bat too heavy. Beat that?

Other sports: The 31-year-old has six swimming records in high-school. He shone in rugby, hockey, badminton and tennis too. AB was also selected in South Africa’s junior national hockey team after playing U-16 for his school.

All-rounder: AB is one unique cricketer who can bat, bowl, keep wickets as well as be an equally good fielder at the deep. He has two Test wickets, seven ODI wickets apart from overall 15 stumpings, including in T20.

Fast, faster, fastest: He holds the record for the fastest 50 (16 balls), fastest ton (31) and fastest 150 (64).

Musician: AB is a gifted musician too. He is a singer-songwriter and has taken guitar lessons from the age of 11. Along with friend Ampie du Preez, he cut out a single ‘Show Them Who You Are’ which became an inspirational song for the Proteas.
