Hold yatra on failures, says YSRC
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will sit on a deeksha on June 5 and 6 in the Amaravati capital region in Guntur district to expose the failure of the Telugu Desam government’s one-year in office.
The YSRC has alleged that the TD government had failed on all fronts and could not implement its poll promises, including the waiver of farm loans. The YSRC also announced that the second phase of its Rytu Bharosa Yatra will start on May 11.
YSRC senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said, “The TD has no moral right to celebrate a “Vijaya yatra” (victory rally) as its one year in office is littered with failure on all fronts. It has not fulfilled any of its poll-time promises and is making a mockery of its election manifesto. To highlight the failures of the TD government, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy will undertake a two-day fast at a venue which will be between Vijayawada and Guntur on June 5 and 6.
The YSRC said that instead of a Vijaya yatra, the TD should observe Vyphalya (failure) yatra.
Mr Venkateswarlu said, “The TD owes an explanation for going back on all the poll promises. Mr Jagan Reddy will give a detailed explanation of how N. Chandrababu Naidu fooled the people.”
