One worker committed suicide,while other worker ended life by consuming pesticide

Namakkal/ Karur: A day before a crucial verdict awaits the AIADMK leader J. Jayalalithaa on Monday in her appeal in the assets case in the Karnataka high court, anxiety mounted among party cadres, resulting in at least two of them committing suicide in different parts of Tamil Nadu.
Notwithstanding her appeal to party cadres to remain calm and not to resort to such extreme steps, an AIADMK party worker, Sekar, committed suicide by hanging in Namakkal on Sunday. This was barely three days after an elderly, 60-year-old cadre died by immolating himself there. In Karur district, another highly worried party functionary, Shanmughasundaram of Krishnarayapuram, allegedly ended his life by consuming pesticide, police said.
