Mumbai: Thousands of fans rejoiced and celebrated Salman Khan’s homecoming after he was granted bail in the 2002 hit and run case. The Bombay high court suspended the actor’s five year jail sentence, after he was convicted and sentenced by a lower court.
The actor was convicted on 8 charges against him, after a Mumbai sessions court pronounced its verdict in the mishap that took place 13 years ago on Wednesday. He was then granted a 2-day interim relief before the hearing of his bail plea.
On returning home from court the actor was greeted by cheering fans and crackers. The actor waved to his fans, and even took to Twitter to thank all his fans for their undying support. He posted, “All those who prayed for and supported me thank u meherbani shukriya.” (sic)
