Gold futures marginally down on global cues
Gold drop 0.09 per cent to Rs 27,093 per 10 gm
New Delhi: Gold futures traded a shade lower at Rs 27,093 per 10 grams on May 11 as speculators trimmed positions, taking weak cues from global markets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for delivery in far-month August eased by Rs 24, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 27,093 per ten grams in business turnover of 57 lots.
Also, metal prices for delivery in June contracts shed Rs 22, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 26,867 per ten gram in 4,175 lots. Analysts attributed the decline in gold futures to a weak global trend. Meanwhile, gold lost 0.3 per cent to USD 1,185.01 an ounce in London.
