Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor was conferred the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award on Sunday. Due to his health he couldn’t make it to the main function in Delhi, therefore he was handed over the award by Union Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Minister of Information and Broadcasting of India, Arun Jaitley at the iconic Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai.
The venue was brimming with members of the Kapoor family as well as Shashi’s several former co-stars. His son Kunal and daughter Sanjana Kapoor accompanied him on the stage. Among others who were present were Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh, and Rekha to name a few.
