Statement on Dawood on Monday
The home minister had said on Thursday that there was “no confusion” about Dawood’s whereabouts
New Delhi: The government on Friday sought to take the sting out of the opposition attack on the whereabouts of fugitive Dawood Ibrahim, with home minister Rajnath Singh telling Lok Sabha that the NDA government’s reply was the same as the UPA regime gave two years ago.
Mr Singh said he would make a detailed statement on the issue in the House on Monday. The home minister had said on Thursday that there was “no confusion” about Dawood’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, BJP attacked Congress for its “doublespeak” on promoting industry, saying that while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was demanding the setting up of a food park in Amethi, his party was opposing the government’s move to build industrial corridors for improving rural infrastructure.
Also, Rajya Sabha failed to transact any business as Opposition Congress created ruckus, demanding resignation of minister Nitin Gadkari in the wake of a CAG report that alleged irregularities involving loan extended to his family-linked Purti group.
