Concern over misuse of MLA car pass
Police Commissioner M.N.Reddi has said that the police had received several complaints on public using duplicate MLA car passes and they would write to government in this regard.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Reddi said, “We would suggest to the officials concerned to make passes foolproof by using holography or other technology, so that people cannot duplicate and misuse them.”
The matter gained significance as a gang of dacoits had used an MLA car pass in a recent case. In a dacoity case reported in the house of a realtor, identified as Prakash, in Mahalakshmi Layout last Monday, the miscreants were found standing in front of the house with a car bearing a duplicate MLA car pass.
