We should carry Salman's legacy forward: Ranbir Kapoor
Mumbai: After Bollywood star Salman Khan was pronounced guilty in the 2002 hit and run case, several A-listers from the industry flocked to the actor’s residence to extend their support to the actor in one of his darkest hours.
Ranbir Kapoor, like many others from the industry was also all praises for the actor. At a recent press conference for the game launch of his film ‘Bombay Velvet’, the actor gave his point of view on the verdict.
He said, “I am not above the law and jurisdiction, but I am attached to Salman. In fact my entire family is emotionally attached to him. I haven't met a person in my life who has helped so many countless people. We should carry his legacy forward. It's a hard time for his family but I am sure he will bounce back. He is one of the nicest persons we have known. Our heart is with him and his family. However, I would not like to comment on the verdict as it is a legal proceeding."
His co-star Anushka Sharma also expressed similar views and said, “I agree with what Ranbir said, I feel the same. I wish them from my heart that they get all the strength they need at this time.”
When asked if Ranbir would be visiting the megastar at his home, the actor responded, “No, I do not have any such plans. But I wish him all the best.”
