Chandrababu Naidu leaving people high and dry: Jagan Mohan Reddy
There were Chief Ministers who had come to this place earlier but no one had taken any initiative,” he said
Gajuladinne: Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticised the TD Government for neglecting the irrigation projects and drinking water needs of the people.
Addressing a gathering here on Wednesday, he recalled how YSR, on hearing the plight of the people of Dhone Assembly constituency, has sanctioned Rs 52 crore and brought dri-nking water through a pip-eline to quench the thirst of over 50,000 people.
“It was the year 2008 and a pot of water was selling at Rs 2. On hearing the plight YSR has immediately sanctioned the amount, which made him a leader of masses. There were Chief Ministers who had come to this place earlier but no one had taken any initiative,” he said.
“There could be others who stake claim even for works they have done not-hing during their term but will take credit of the good work done by YSR. This apart getting water to the Venkatapuram cheruvu fr-om Handri Neeva is not a big issue. But CM and ministers are not concerned. If the state fails to get water, YSRC will do it after coming to power,” he said.
