Xiaomi launches Mi Note Pro, a beast with a 2K display and 4GB RAM
Xiaomi, considered as Apple for China, has launched the Mi Note Pro, priced at RMB 2999 (approximately Rs 31,000). The high-end smartphone boasts of a powerful hardware along with a 5.7-inch 2K display and 4GB of RAM.
The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were announced in January 2015. Xiaomi finally held the event at Beijing with CEO Lei Jun launching the Mi Note Pro at an interactive event.
The Mi Note Pro sports a 3D curved glass on the back and a 2.5D curved glass on front. It features a 5.7-inch 2K (2560x1440) Sharp/JDI display, 515 PPI with Sunlight Display (as seen debuted on the Mi 4i). The Mi Note Pro is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset featuring an 8-core processor with 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 430 GPU. The Mi Note Pro sports a 64GB internal storage, but has no expansion slot. The rear camera incorporates a 13MP sensor by Sony and the front camera is a 4MP. Xiaomi boasts about the Mi Note Pro’s fast charging 3090mAh battery, claiming Quick Charge 2.0, 9V 1.2A with two charging modules, that give you 70 per cent charging in just 1 hour. The smartphone also supports LTE CAT 9 networks, up to 450Mbps download speed and features connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, LE, GPS, GLONASS and Beidou.
The smartphone has been launched for the China market and we hope to see the Mi Note and the Mi Note pro launch in India by Q3/Q4.
