Mumbai: Barring their urge to strive for excellence, there is hardly anything common between Indian legend Rahul Dravid and footballer Luis Suarez. Not just the game they play, their temperaments and reputation are as different as chalk and cheese.
However, rather unwittingly, the two now share similarity. If one can remember, a video had emerged in 2014, showing Rahul Dravid motivating a cancer patient to get over the disease. At one point during the conversation, Dravid had even apologised to for not being able to meet the patient in person.
While the patient could not win his battle with cancer, the struggles he had to undergo might have reduced by a bit after speaking with someone he admired.
Luis Suarez did something very similar to what Dravid did last year. The footballer took out some time as he pleasantly surprised his young fan who is suffering from cancer.
The youngster named Mateo went to hospital in Uruguay, thinking he would be having a video chat with his doctor from Spain. To his utter surprise, he found Suarez at the other end. Mateo was left teary-eyed as Suarez inquired about his health and promised him to send him one of the shirts which Suarez wore during Barcelona games.

While the Barcelona forward often gets slammed for his temperamental issues, this gesture from him is pure gold.
