Bengaluru: Gayle storm blew hard and fast at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday as Royal Challengers Bangalore dismantled Kings XI Punjab by 138 runs in their Indian Premier League encounter on Wednesday.
With the win the home side climbed to third in the table, jumping over Kolkata Kinght Riders due to their better net run rate.

Earlier, Gayle, who reached 3,000 runs in his IPL career on the day, smashed seven shots to the ropes and 12 over it, amassing a century just from his boundary hits. He was however reprieved when he was dropped by Bailey and Vohra on 27 and 53 respectively.

Gayle plundered two more sixes off Karanveer Singh before bring up his ton in style with a four. He then he celebrated mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature ritual, as he took in the crowd’s adoration. AB de Villiers then joined the party with three consecutive sixes down the ground off.
