With the win the home side climbed to third in the table, jumping over Kolkata Kinght Riders due to their better net run rate.

After a stuttering show so far, Gayle reminded one and all of his unparallel stroke-making prowess, blitzing his way to 117 in just 57 balls to fire Challengers to a commanding 226/3.
Chasing a stiff target, the away side never found their footing as Sreenath Arvind and Mitchell Starc wreacked havoc to send them packing at 88 all out in 13.4 overs
