Free flying for toddlers: British Airways welcomes Royal baby

The offer is valid for families travelling with children under the age of two until July 31

New Delhi: The UK's flag carrier British Airways has offered free flying to children under two years of age to celebrate the birth of the new Princess in the British Royal family.

The offer is valid for families travelling with children under the age of two until July 31 on British Airways business and economy class-Club World and World Traveller, a release said.

The airline, however, said that accompanying tickets must be booked before May 17 to avail the offer. "The arrival of the latest addition to the Royal Family is exciting news in the UK and we wanted to bring the celebrations to our customers here in India," British Airways Regional Commercial Manager Moran Birger said, announcing the complimentary offer.

Over 1.5 million children fly with British Airways every year and it takes great pride in offering parents, families and children a travel experience that is comfortable, seamless and enjoyable throughout the journey, he said.

The British Airways has had a long-standing history of serving the British Royal Family, the release said.

To help parents plan their flights with children, the airline has created a video with tips for families travelling through Terminal 5 at London Heathrow airport.

All British Airways flights from five key Indian cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad arrive at the London Heathrow Terminal 5, which offers facilities to keep children entertained which include games, the release said.

Prince William's wife Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday. The newborn Princess of Cambridge was yesterday named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and will be known as Princess Charlotte.
