4 Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board officials suspended

The government had appointed him to resolve all issues and clear the salaries

Hyderabad: Four employees of the AP State Wakf Board were placed under suspension on Tuesday evening for allegedly obstructing the new special officer from taking charge. The state government had earlier issued a GO appointing M.J. Akbar as the special officer.

According to sources, some employees, who were protesting the non-payment of salaries, stopped the lift and cut the power supply to the board office at Haj House.

The government had appointed him to resolve all issues and clear the salaries. When Mr Akbar reached, some employees blocked his way and did not allowed him to take charge. He took charge after police intervention.

Later, the Board suspended deputy secretaries Sultan Mohiuddin and Saleem Basha, law officer Syed Hssian and senior assistant Sanaullah.
