Mysuru rape case: Fourth accused seeks bail
Mysuru: The Fourth Additional District and Sessions Court here judge, Roopa Nayak, has posted for May 8 the order of anticipatory bail application filed by Naveen, the fourth accused in the dowry harassment and rape case of the daughter of a former IAS officer.
Naveen had reportedly supplied weapons to the main accused, Dr Prabudhda Murthy, and threatened the complainant. He is currently absconding and the Mysuru city police are searching for him.
The application for anticipatory bail was filed in April end. His advocate had presented his arguments and Public Prosecutor Mahanthappa has filed his objections.
In her complaint the former IAS officer’s daughter had stated that her brother-in-law was in possession of guns and used to threaten her. He even used to fire them in air to threaten her and coerce her to leave the house. “I learnt from my husband that the guns belonged to my father-in-law and his cousin Naveen,” she stated.
The victim also said that Naveen also used to threaten her against filing a police case. My brother-in-law and Naveen had threatened that if I filed a police complaint, they would hire supari killers to kill me and my husband, she had stated.
