Hyderabad: In a brutal incident a woman and her lover allegedly tortured her four-year old son by burning his body parts with red hot iron in order to extort money from her own brother and mother.
The boy Ayan was shifted to hospital with severe burns on his lips, hands, legs and genitals. Neredmet police arrested Reshma Begum, 24, and P. Mahesh, 25, following a complaint from the victim’s relative.
Reshma had walked out of her first marriage and started living with Mahesh one year ago, police said. Reshma claimed that she married Mahesh and wanted her son to live with them. When he refused and was adamant about going to his grandmother, she punished him.
