For a while it seemed as though Shraddha Kapoor would be the girl cast opposite Tiger Shroff in Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sabir Khan’s Baaghi (the follow up film to Tiger’s debut Heropanti). But then, the film’s team felt that they needed a fresh face for the action caper and have now cast Disha Patani in the role instead. Disha is a model and beauty pageant winner from Bareilly.
Incidentally, Disha was supposed to be launched by Karan Johar in No Sex Please, We’re Indian and then Vanity Fair (which was to be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor). However, neither project took off. Baaghi will now mark her entry to Bollywood.
Said a source close to producer Sajid Nadiadwala, “Sajid sees the same spark in Disha that he saw in Kriti Sanon when he launched her in Heropanti.” Kriti has bagged films opposite Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor. Will Disha follow suit? Watch this space…
