John will have to wait longer to be welcomed back

The film that was supposed to release on May 29 has been deferred

It has been two years since John Abraham was seen on screen. His last film was Madras Café that released in 2013. The actor has been waiting for the release of Welcome Back, but now it looks like he’ll have to wait longer.

The film that was supposed to release on May 29 has been deferred. Reports suggest that there are problems between producer Feroz Nadiadwala and director Anees Bazmi. There are also talks about distributors not willing to give Nadiadwala the price that he’s asking for the film.

The rumours have been refuted strongly by the concerned parties. Feroz says, “The only reason why my director Anees and I decided to postpone the release by a few weeks is the special effects. These are still not ready. We’d rather wait than rush. A good film is like water. It finds its own level, come what may.” He adds that John is in no hurry either. “He is absolutely secure in his space. The fact that he has had no release in two years doesn’t bother him at all. He knows he’s done something completely unexpected in Welcome Back.”

For the first time John has attempted broad comedy in Welcome Back. Feroze says, “Nobody would expect John to do what he has done in the film. This is his first all-out comedy. His comic timing will shock his fans. The wait for his return is worth it.”
