Only CBSE students find pre-medical exam easy
Students from the state board found the paper really difficult
Chennai: Around 25,000 students from all over Tamil Nadu appeared for the all India pre-medical examination conducted by the Government of India on Sunday. Chennai is the only place in the state to have conducted the test in 41 centres. While the students from CBSE board found the test easy since it was based on the pattern they were used to, students from the state board found it difficult.
V.S. Akshay from Matriculation Kids Club school in Tirupur, near Coimbatore, said he found that Physics paper was easier than the rest of the papers. “I feel I will clear the test. I prepared for the last one month. I hope my dream of becoming a doctor will be fulfilled,” he said. His mother, Rajni Sundaraj, said, “In Tirupur, there are no coaching classes available for this test. He was completely dependent on the Internet and books.”
According to the regional director of CBSE board, Sudarshan Rao, the test mainly focused on three papers physics, chemistry and biology along with general knowledge and maths. Meera Priyadarshini from Porur stood first in her school in class 10. She scored 95 per cent and hopes for good results from her plus-2 examination. She underwent a crash course for 20 days for this pre-medical examination. “I am confident I will crack this test as I found all the papers more or less easy. Though biology was a bit hard, I didn’t find it difficult,” she said.
V. Sashidharan from Tiruchy and Motish Kumar from Vellore found the test tough. “Since we studied under state board, the examination was difficult for us as the question paper was set completely in CBSE pattern. We didn’t have many of the chapters in our syllabus. So, we had to leave out those questions. I found physics and biology to be the most difficult papers,” said Sashidharan.
