Kamalnathan Committee agrees to reconsider allocation of government officers in Telangana and AP

The committee will meet HoDs of all departments on May 6 & 7 to seek “nativity details”

Hyderabad: The Centre-appointed Kamalnathan Committee has agreed to reconsider employee allocations between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh following protests from Telangana state employees over several employees of Seemandhra origin making it to the state list in nearly 10 departments.

The committee will meet HoDs of all departments on May 6 and 7 to seek “nativity details” of employees. Telangana employees’ associations filed their objections online, pointing out discrepancies in allotments without taking nativity into consideration.

TNGOs honorary president Devi Prasad, president K. Ravinder Reddy, general secretary Hameed and other union leaders met Mr Kamalnathan and brought to his notice that several Seemandhra employees had been allotted to Telangana. Mr Kamalnathan told the delegation that the committee would relook into all the objections filed them.
