MLA Raja Singh attacks constable, booked
He tops the list of legislators with the most number of cases
Hyderabad: BJP Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh and his associates allegedly attacked a police constable in Mangalahat. Police booked a case against the MLA. Raja Singh had a face off with the city police earlier at Mangalahat regarding the illegal construction of a religious structure.
Raja Singh, who pushed a SI, also attacked a constable in public. “The MLA slapped the constable and injured his neck. He also punched the officer,” said inspector R. Srinivas. Raja Singh also threatened the police. The incident occurred when drunk men of a wedding party raised the DJ volume. “The people called Dial 100 and we sent our team. When they refused to stop the constable and switched it off. Then Raja Singh, who lives nearby, came and attacked the officers,” the inspector said.
Police commissioner Mahender Reddy had restricted the use of DJ. Raja Singh, who was earlier booked for hate speech and riot cases, tops the list of legislators with the most number of cases booked against them.
