Hyderabad: A 30-year-old would-be bridegroom who came to the city to purchase his wedding dress, went missing on Friday night. Ravi Kumar Goud, who is a Setwin bus driver staying at Dilsukhnagar, came to his relative’s house in Saroornagar and disappeared. Goud belongs to Amangal in Mahbubnagar. His marriage was scheduled for Sunday. Suspecting a kidnap his relatives have lodged a complaint with the police.
Ravi Kumar Goud, who had been working with Setwin since many years, had taken leave. “He came to the city saying that he wanted to buy his wedding dress. However, after making a call on Friday night his phone is switched off,” his family said.
Police said that Ravi Kumar made his last call from Saroornagar and the phone was switched off after that. “We analysed his call records. The possibility of kidnap is very less. He might have gone into hiding to avoid the wedding. However, we are investigating all angles,” said inspector K. Narsing Rao.
