Bollywood filmmaker will be releasing the film in Hindi along with Anil Thadani of AA Films

Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar has acquired the Hindi rights of Baahubali. Karan’s official website posted late on Thursday night: “Karan Johar presents Baahubali — India’s largest motion picture, directed by S.S. Rajamouli.”
This announcement put an end to weeks-long speculation about the Hindi rights of the film. While the details of Johar’s involvement in the film is not known, according to a source, the filmmaker bought the rights for a huge amount.
Though no one is talking about the amount, this is the first time that a big Bollywood producer-director is involved in a Telugu film. When contacted, the film’s producer Shobhu Yarlagadda, says, “Yes, Karan Johar will be presenting and releasing Baahubali in Hindi along with Anil Thadani of AA Films.”
