He asks PM Modi to visit Punjab and see firsthand, the condition of farmers in “pain”

New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi went on the offensive against the government over farmers’ distress on Wednesday, taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s frequent foreign visits and asking him to visit Punjab to see firsthand the condition of farmers in “pain”.
Amid protests by BJP members, Mr Gandhi took a swipe at the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, questioning whether farmers were not contributing to ‘Make in India’ by providing food for the entire country.
