Telugu Desam wants defectors disqualified
Earlier the party submitted similar petitions against minister Talasani, Teegala and Challa
Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam Legislature Party on Wednesday challenged TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao that if TRS wins all the four seats in the byelections to be held after making the defected MLAs resign, it would keep quiet in the Assembly for the remaining term.
Filing a petition seeking disqualification of Ibrahimpatnam MLA, Manchireddy Kishen Reddy who recently defected to TRS, Telangana TD Legislature Party leaders on Wednesday met Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary and made a fresh appeal to immediately disqualify all the four TD MLAs and declare the Assembly segments as vacant.
Earlier the party submitted similar petitions against minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Challa Dharma Reddy who had joined TRS without resigning their MLA posts.
They have also complained to the Speaker that Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, who was not a member of the Legislature, has been continuing in the Cabinet while attending Lok Sabha and drawing salary as Warangal MP. They also said that it is highly objectionable on the part of Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy attending the TRS plenary and public meeting. They said Speakers and Deputy Speakers in the past did not attend party meetings.
