The actress will play the late air hostess who lost her life in the 1986 hijack in Karachi

Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor is all suited up and ready to take off for her next project, a biopic titled ‘Neerja’. The film is about the brave heart flight stewardess Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life saving hundreds of passengers during the 1986 hijack of PanAm in Karachi.
The actress began shooting for the film a week ago and decided to give fans a sneak peek of her first look in costume for the film.
The film will also see Shabana Azmi playing Sonam’s mother in the film. ‘Neerja’ will highlight their mother-daughter relationship. The film also marks ace photographer Atul Kasbekar’s debut as a producer.
