KCR exploiting Telangana: Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
He accused the state of failing to protect the farmers’ interest
Khammam: PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao saying that he along with his family was exploiting the resources of Telangana, which was created as a separate state by AICC president Mrs Sonia Gandhi. Mr Vikramarka said Mr Rao broke his promise to make a Dalit the Chief Minister of new Telangana state and showed his lust for power.
Addressing the party cadre for the membership drive at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan, on Tuesday, he alleged, “Mrs Sonia Gandhi gave Telangana keeping in mind the interests of the 3.5 crore people of the state. But Mr Rao is taking care of only his family.” The PCC working president pointed out that about 1,200 farmers had committed suicide after Mr Rao came to power and no minister or mandarin tried consoling the families of the victims.
“The farmers lost all the crops with the recent untimely rains and they have been requesting assistance from the government. But, nobody is there to give confidence to them,” he said. He accused the state government of failing to protect the farmers’ interest.
He said that the proposed beneficiaries under the land to Dalits schemes had been ditched by the Chandrasekhar Rao government. He said that the CM, after giving a few acres to the Dalits, didn’t bother to complete the rest of the process.
Mr Vikramarka also said that the budget allocations showed the government’s lack of commitment towards welfare schemes. He felt that the housing scheme was another area where the TRS government has failed miserably. He said that thousands of poor are forced to reside on the roadsides because of non-completion of their houses under weaker section housing scheme. He said that the government stopped the bills payment to the beneficiaries under the scheme.
