Infosys staffer dies on Outer Ring Road

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old Infosys employee was killed in a road mishap on the Outer Ring Road on Tuesday early morning, while she was going to RGI airport in a cab.
The speeding car rammed into another car while trying to overtake a truck near Himayatsagar. Raziya Sultana, a native of Bengaluru, died on the spot and the driver sustained grievous injuries. Relatives of the victim said she was going to Bengaluru to meet her family and for some official work. Raziya was living in an apartment at Gachibowli with her husband Rajath, who is an employee with Google.
According to the police, the incident occurred at about 4.30 am. “The victim was going from Gachibowli to Shamshabad in a taxi. Car driver D. Balaraj was driving fast. After the accident, the front end of the car was heavily damaged and trapped the injured victims inside. Raziya was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital, while the driver is hospitalised,” said Rajendran-agar sub-inspector G. Sharathkumar.
Police is likely to book a case against Balraj for negligence. Relatives said Raziya was newly married. The couple shifted to Hyderabad from Benga-luru after they got job placements in MNCs here.
The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem examination. Police said that the accident occurred due to over speeding and lane violation, and the driver violated the ORR rules by Cyberabad police.
