Amidst court hearings, Salman Khan adopts widow's family in Kashmir

The family approached the actor during one of his shoots seeking his help

Mumbai: Salman Khan has been shuffling between the court hearings of his ongoing cases, as well as the shoot for the final schedule of Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. On Tuesday the actor wrapped up his shoot quickly in Pahalgam, to fly to Jodhpur for the verdict of his pending black buck case.

Although Salman has been very busy and tensed as the final verdict of his 2002 hit and run case comes closer, the actor recently decided to extend his warm support to an impoverished widow’s family in Kashmir.

According to reports, 75-year-old Zaina Begum approached the actor during his shoot seeking help. Begum has reportedly been struggling with her 40-year-old widowed daughter to raise her four grandchildren, who moved in with her after the demise of their father.

The actor also reportedly told Zaina’s eldest grandson that he could be with him till he wrapped up the schedule in Kashmir, after which he can fly to Mumbai and work with the star.

Salman is currently in Pahalgam shooting with his co-star Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Kareena Kapoor is also expected to join the crew soon. The team will be shooting some high-octane action sequences in the valley, and are expected to be there for the next couple of weeks.
