World-class city in three years, vows Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao

I had asked you to stone me to death if I deviated fromTelangana movement, says KCR

Hyderabad: Asking “kirkiri (quarrelsome) leader” Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to mind his own business and not to meddle in the affairs of Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday vowed to implement every promise he had made and sought the people's support in making a Bangaru Telangana and Hyderabad a world class city in three to three-and-a-half years.

“I had asked you to stone me to death if I deviated from the Telangana movement. I achieved it through your support. Now, I need your support in making a Bangaru Telangana. I will make your dreams come true. But beware of foxes,” he said, while addressing “Vijaya Garjana”, the mammoth public meeting at the Secunderabad Parade Ground named for the occasion after late Telangana ideologue Prof. Jayashanker.

The TRS had celebrated the party’s first plenary in the new state on April 24 and its 14th anniversary on Monday at the jam-packed Parade Grounds. TRS leaders claimed that over 10 lakh people attended the meeting and a large number of them were stuck en route due to traffic jams. After a sober speech at the plenary, Mr Rao lashed out at Mr Naidu and other opponents calling some of them gunta nakkalu (foxes) waiting to harm Telangana.
