New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is unaware of the reports that he would be undertaking a ‘padayatra’ to highlight the issues of farmers and farm labours in the coming days.
“I don’t know...you people seem to know more than I do,” he told a group of reporters outside Parliament. According to the party insiders Mr Gandhi would be going to Vidarbha region in Maharashtra, known for the farmers suicides, either on April 30 or May 1. AICC communication department in-charge Randeep Surjewala said, “Rahulji will be taking Kisan Padyatra in days to come. He is going to visit all states, which have recorded farmer distress. Details are yet to be finalised.”
