Chandrababu Naidu’s 3 dogs bark daily, says K Chandrasekhar Rao
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao vowed to take his opponents like he did the Telangana movement.
“TD, Congress, CPI and CPM opposed Telangana. I said hang flags of these parties on three power lines. But people hung TRS flags on all three power lines, TRS formed the government and ensured power,” he remarked.
Launching a scathing attack on Mr Naidu for his comments during a Mahbubnagar tour recently, Mr Rao questioned what business he had in Telangana.
“There is a saying in Telangana. You don’t give food to your mother, but promise golden bangles. That’s the case with Naidu. There are also two or three pet dogs of his who bark daily. This is Telangana gadda. It is our state. Naidu has no business here. He did not implement promises, but makes tall claims here. We spit at him to leave, but he is unmoved. What a shameless creature he is,” he said amidst laughter.
He added, “Naidu is indulging in media management and is doing nothing in his state. He is a kirikiri leader who has become a nuisance in our state.”
Mr Rao also announced the launch of the pending two-bedroom housing scheme from May, one lakh government jobs to the unemployed in two years, KG-to-PG free education with common uniform and meals to poor children from next year under the supervision of Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari.
He said farmers will get nine-hour power supply from next March from 6 am to 4-5 pm not have to go to the fields in pitch darkness to switch on agri motors from next March, he said he would ensure nine-hour power supply from 6 am to 4-5 pm.
He said he would lay the foundation stone for the Palamuru Lift Irrigation scheme in the next 15-20 days, complete the Nakkalagandi project, Pranahita Chevella and other projects and regularise contract employees soon and make optimal utilisation of Krishna and Godavari waters.
Stating that farmers would not have to go to the fields in pitch darkness to switch on agri motors from next March, he said he would ensure nine-hour power supply from 6 am to 4-5 pm.
“Some parties promised the moon before elections, but failed to implement promises. I implemented what I promised and also what I did not promise like the Water Grid, Kalyana Laxmi and Shadi Mubarak,” he remarked.
Mr Rao asserted that Telangana was now the No. 1 state in the country in implementation of welfare schemes worth Rs 28,000 crore.
“Can any chief minister in the other 28 states dare say that he will not seek votes if he doesn’t fulfil a promise? I am challenging it. I will not seek votes if I don’t ensure tap water to every home. I will wash the feet of people with tap water,” he said.
Describing irrigation minister T. Harish Rao as a “chaku’ (knife)-like leader, the Chief Minister complimented him for implementing Mission Kakatiya and irrigation projects.
“I told you I was set on Telangana and there was no looking back. I got it with your support. But that’s not enough. You need to stand by me in its development. It’s a new state and I need your backing again. After the plenary, some people said my voice was dull. I am not for words but deeds now. I have achieved Telangana and I need to develop it,” he remarked amidst cheers.
He also took a dig at a section of the media promoted by Andhra rulers, which he said was distorting facts.
Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari and Mohd Mahamood Ali, Dr K. Kesava Rao, Mr Palla Rajeswara Reddy and others spoke on the occasion.
