“Irrfan is back from his international project confirms Shoojit

Shoojit Sircar may have assembled quite the dream cast for Piku — Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. While getting them to shoot for the film may have been easy, getting the stars together on the same platform on the same dates to promote Piku is turning out to be quite a logistical problem indeed.
A source connected to the film told us, “While Deepika has been shooting a song with Priyanka Chopra for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, Irrfan was in Budapest to meet director Ron Howard and co-star Tom Hanks as part of the preparation for his new international project, Inferno. Back home, Shoojit is almost tearing his hair out to work out the publicity and promotions where all three stars can be present.”
With Deepika’s shoot now coming to an end and Irrfan back from Budapest, perhaps the Piku promotions can finally pick up momentum. Confirms Shoojit, “Irrfan is back from his international project. We are finally going to have three of them together at some special selected events.”
