Net Neutrality rage: Hacker group takes down TRAI website after email ID spill
It seems as though the net neutrality issue in India is beginning to get ugly. After the news about the TRAI spilling out over a million email IDs out in the open, their website was taken down by a DDoS attack.
The website hack was claimed by an Indian hacking community, which goes by the name of AnonOpsIndia on Twitter. AnonOpsIndia tweeted a series of tweets stating that they were angry with the condition of net neutrality in India and the way the TRAI is handling the sensitive issue.

They went all out to challenge the security system at the TRAI, pointing out that if they cannot handle their own website, what can they handle the Internet in the country.
TRAI has been receiving serious criticism with regards to the net neutrality issue in India, especially after Airtel and Flipkart went all out for a biased internet connection for its services and users. Over a million users sent in emails to the TRAI to support the net neutrality movement in India. Sadly, the TRAI spilled out all the email IDs on their website, making every email public and free to spammers to feed on. Later, the hacktivist group, who claim to be a bunch of kids, took down the server, criticizing the TRAI for their lack of security and insensitivity towards net neutrality in India.
