Tollywood actress Neetu Agarwal arrested, bank account frozen
Anantapur: The Kurnool police arrested actress Neetu Agarwal on Sunday for her alleged role in red sanders smuggling. Ms Agarwal had acted in the Telugu film Prema Prayanam, which was produced by red sanders smuggler Mastan Vali.
Her bank accounts were frozen and her flat in Hyderabad was sealed. Ms Agarwal was on Sunday produced before the Koilakuntla court in Kurnool district where she was sent to judicial remand till May 7. Prior to that, Agarwal was taken to the general hospital in Kurnool for medical check up.
Ms Agarwal, from Rajasthan, had been living with Vali, who is the Chagalamarri mandal president and a YSR Congress leader as well. The Allagadda police had recently arrested Vali in connection with red sanders smuggling and for vehicle theft.
