Shahid Kapoor withdrawing from his film Farzi’s schedule in June has sparked off loud whispers that the actor may be tying the knot in June instead of December as decided earlier.
Shahid had earlier confirmed that his wedding with Mira Rajput was scheduled to happen later this year, but the recent development has led people to think that there has been a change of heart. We asked the co-director of Farzi, Raj Nidimoru, if he was in the know. “So far, Shahid or his team has not told us anything about the wedding. I got to know about it from the papers. We have been told that Shahid is not available to shoot in June,” said Raj.
What does that mean for Farzi? The film has two more busy actors apart from Shahid: Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kriti Sanon. While Nawaz is the busiest of the tree, Kriti too has had a few offers coming her way since Heropanti, out of which she has only agreed for Farzi and Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale. The actress is now in a tight spot. Says Nidimoru, “It will take us a while to sort out the combination dates of Nawaz, Kriti and Shahid collectively.”
When we asked a close friend of Shahid about the impending wedding we were told, “He hasn’t told me about it. So I doubt he’s getting married in June.”
