MEA sets up 24-hour control room for queries on Nepal earthquake
New Delhi: IAF aircraft C17 with 225 Indians arrived in Delhi from Kathmandu, Foreign Secretary of India S. Jaishankar said on Sunday. The foreign secretary said that the focus was on Kathmandu, but they were also trying to assess the situation across Nepal.

The Under-14 girls' football team which had been held back in Nepal following Saturday's earthquake, landed safely in Delhi.

In a tweet, civil aviation minister Praful Patel said, "The girls will be staying the night in IBIS hotel Delhi tonight and will be in their respective homes tomorrow".
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted that a 24 hour control room for queries regarding Nepal earthquake has been set up by it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of situation, directing officials to speed up of efforts to save and evacuate people from Nepal.
Earlier, fresh tremors were felt today across north and east India, a day after a quake devastated Nepal and affected parts of India. The aftershocks measured 6.7 in the Richter scale according to United States Geological Survey -- the epicenter was Kodari, around 80 km east of Kathmandu.
