BEVO outlets see rise in income
The average daily collection of Bevco has risen to Rs 30 cr per day from Rs 24 cr
Kochi: The number of people visiting retail outlets of Kerala State Beverages Corporation has gone up by three lakh persons after the closure of bar hotels in the State, Excise Minister K Babu told reporters on Friday.
The average daily collection of Bevco has risen to Rs 30 cr per day from Rs 24 cr, he added. Mr. Babu said that Bevco is thinking about ways to reduce the rush in the retail outlets in the coming days.
The minister however denied reports that Bevco is planning to open 100 additional counters in the existing outlets. A token system is likely to be introduced to reduce the rush, he said, and added that 10 per cent of the retail outlets will be brought down on Gandhi Jayanti Day as promised by the Government.
