Darbar Square in rubble, Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenant Aman had shot at this heritage site in Nepal

The heritage site today has collapsed because of the massive earthquake

Nepal: The iconic heritage site Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal is down to rubbles after a massive earthquake struck them on Saturday morning. A strong magnitude-7.9 earthquake hit Nepal causing extensive damage to several buildings and century old temples. Durbar square is in the list of UNESCO World heritage sites but now because of the earthquake the old structures have collapsed.

Durbar Square was extremly popular among the tourists visiting Nepal. Unfortunately nothing of the beauty and its charm remain after the unexpected earthquake. Amitabh Bachchan shot the famous song 'Pyaar Mei Dil Pe Maar De Goli' with Zeenat Aman for 'Mahaan'.

"In the face of such disaster, we mourn with them that have been displaced or lost to the heavens. It is a most horrid site to see those buildings in absolute destruction... some of them of great heritage value," Bachchan posted on his blog.
