Lenovo follows the footsteps of Asus; unveils K80 with 4GB RAM
It seems like Lenovo is all set to challenge Asus, by introducing the K80 with 4GB RAM this year!
While the Asus Zenfone 2 is available in four different variants, Lenovo’s K80 handset only has two variants. i.e. Lenovo K80 (32GB onboard storage + 2GB of RAM) and Lenovo K80 (64GB onboard storage + 4GB of RAM).

The 64GB smartphone models of Asus Zenfone 2 and Lenovo K80 feature a 5.5-inch display, offers 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Lenovo K80 and ASUS Zenfone 2 feature a 13MP primary camera. There isn’t any word on the front camera of the Lenovo K80 handset yet.
There's only a minor difference between the two 4GB RAM handsets:
- Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE555ML) is powered by a 2.3Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor. On the other hand, the Lenovo K80 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.
- Asus Zenfone 2 variants are fuelled with a 3000mAh battery. But the K80 smartphone is powered by a much larger battery i.e. 4000mAh battery. Lenovo K80 could possibly be able to deliver a better battery life.
- In terms of pricing, the 64GB variant of Lenovo K80 is slightly cheaper than the Asus Zenfone 2. i.e. ASUS Zenfone 2 is priced at Rs 22,999 and the cost of Lenovo K80 is 1,799 CNY( Approximate price: Rs 18,400).
