Desi weaves and motifs seem to be the latest trend on the red carpet. Actresses down south too are embracing this trend for red carpet events.
Amala Paul wore a green khadi anarkali, with zardosi embroidery with a Kanjeevaram dupatta at a recent launch. Kajal Aggarwal too was spotted in a grey, tie-dye Ikat Kanjeevaram saree with a yellow border, inspired by 16th century temple art.
Interestingly, both the outfits are from designer Gaurang Shah’s collection. Seems like desi is the way to go.
