Salman Khan turns down request to promote Jammu and Kashmir tourism
Mumbai: Salman Khan, who is currently in Pahalgam, Kashmir shooting for Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was approached by a delegation of leaders of the reigning People's Democratic Party (PDP). The leaders met the actor on Thursday with the request to promote tourism of Jammu and Kashmir, according to reports.
The tourism of the state has taken a turn for the worst following the recent devastating floods. After about an hour of discussion, the actor reportedly concluded that he would not take up any more projects before the final verdict of his 2002 hit and run case is made on May 6.
(PDP) felt that if the actor endorsed the tourism of the state, it would help boost tourist footfall. The actor has reportedly decided to give the deal some thought only after the verdict.
The actor’s shoot was recently put on hold for two days as he was suffering from an ear infection and was on pain killers. However the team has resumed the shoot. Salman’s co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor will soon join the star in the valley.
