Xiaomi has launched its global flagship handset ‘Xiaomi Mi 4i’and Mi Band in India. The Xiaomi Mi 4i handset has a unibody polycarbonate body and has a soft touch matte finish with an anti-grease coating. It features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, with a pixel density of 441 ppi. The screen of the Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone is fully laminated with OGS Corning Concore, and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 2nd generation 64-bit Snapdragon 615 SoC. Xiaomi Mi 4i's runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, along with MiUi 6. MIUI 6 also supports six Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil.
Xiaomi Mi 4i offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board memory.The company has also added the ‘sunlight display’ technology on the Mi 4i. It can also adjust the brightness of the photos appropriately. Its 13MP rear camera offers f/2.0 aperture and dual tone flash. It can capture a high-resolution image, which is 30 per cent more power efficient, claims the company.
On the other hand, its 5MP front-facing camera includes 'beautify' and age identification feature to help its users capture better selfies. Its Selfie Timer allows you to hit the capture button and then you have time to frame the shot. Xiaomi Mi 4i is fuelled by a 3120mAh battery.
Adding to this, the company also unveiled the Mi Band fitness tracker. This fitness gadget offers a 30-day battery life. Media reports state that the IP-67 certification that makes it resistant to water and dust.The Mi Band will be sold for Rs 1 to first 1,000 customers.
However, if you aren't the lucky one to grab the Mi Band for just a rupee, one can purchase it on April 28 via mi.com website at Rs 999. Registration for Xiaomi Mi 4i begins at 8pm on April 23, 2015. Xiaomi Mi 4i is priced at Rs 12,999 for the Indian market. This handset will be available on Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and Mi.com.
