Asus Zenfone 2: Variants, specifications and prices revealed

Asus finally rolled out the world’s first 4GB RAM smartphone handset at an event in New Delhi, on April 23, 2015.

The company introduced four different variants of Zenfone 2 in India –

• Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML)
• Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML)
• Zenfone 2 (ZE555ML) (4GB RAM variant)
• Zenfone 2 (ZE555ML) (2GB RAM variant)

All the four variants of ASUS Zenfone 2 handset feature a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) FHD display and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and is priced below Rs 25,000.The Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML), and Zenfone 2 (ZE555ML 2GB RAM variant) offer 16GB of onboard storage capacity. The Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) offers a 32GB of internal storage capacity. Whereas, the Zenfone 2 (ZE555ML 4GB RAM variant) supports 64GB of internal storage memory.

The screen comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and anti-fingerprint coating. The 13MP Pixel Master primary camera of all the Zenfone 2 handset features a f/2.0 wide-aperture and Backlight (HDR) mode. On the other hand, the 5MP front-facing camera also comes with the ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode and supports 85-degree field of view.

ZenFone 2 is equipped with SonicMaster technology for revolutionary smartphone sound quality. Compared to its predecessor, ZenFone 2 has 38% larger audio chambers and improved speakers with better diafragmas and stronger voice coils, resulting in 4X more powerful sound output, 4X deeper bass (increased by 14dB), and 2X higher pitch.

Featuring a LTE CAT 4+, it offers download speed up to 250Mbit/s and 60ms touch response time. Fuelled with a 3000mAh battery, its BoostMaster technology can charge your smartphone up to 60 per cent within 39 minutes. Zenfone 2 will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from Rs 12,999.
