Govinda surprises everyone by singing Kannad song on DID Super Moms

Mumbai: Govinda, who is currently judging DID Super Moms currently was in awe of Soumyashree after watching the contestant’s act.

The actor devised a unique way to praise her performance, instead of giving his usual feedback; he rendered it in a Kannada song, leaving everyone wide eyed with surprise.

Soumyashree, belongs to Karnataka and Govinda was the least expected judge to sing in the participant’s mother tongue, which was flawless. Not just her, everyone on the sets including the other two judges Geeta and Terence were left awestruck as Govinda crooned to a popular Kannada track.

Well he did move Soumyashree to tears. He later shared, “Episode after episode, Soumyashree has mesmerized us with her electrifying energy and sheer passion for dance. A couple of times, she had mentioned during the show how much she misses her family and her native place, so it was just a small gesture on my part to bring a smile to her face.”

Meanwhile celebrity guests for the episode Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor had their share of fun too. Govinda had recently said he doesn’t intend to work with David Dhawan again and Varun being a good boy went on to speak about how Govinda has influenced his dad’s life.

Varun said, “Govinda sir has spoilt my dad. As an actor, he has set such high standards that it is extremely difficult to reach up to that level. After having worked with him in numerous blockbusters, my dad kept expecting the same perfection and madness Govindaji used to bring to his performances and dance moves. ‘Tu Mera Hero’ was one of the toughest movies I have done as a result. He is a living legend of our industry and nobody can be like him. I am blessed to perform in front of Chichi Bhaiya as I am a big fan.”

On the other hand, Govinda felt nostalgic with memories of watching the two current heartthrobs grow up from little kids to where they stand today. The veteran actor felt proud of the two star kids who beautifully groomed into two star adults. “I am so proud to see both the kids coming for their movie promotions. Their fathers used to bring them on the sets when they were kids and now I am amazed to see how Shraddha has turned out to be so beautiful. They are super talented and I wish all the best for their future.”
