Mumbai: ‘Rock On’ director Abhsishek Kapoor has once again landed himself in controversy. According to several reports, the director has been sent a legal notice from leading studio Eros International for failing to refund an advance payment of Rs 60 lakh that was paid, when he promised to deliver a movie featuring Ranbir Kapoor.
The deal was made in 2010, reports stated. Reportedly, the director initially quoted a price of Rs 2.50 crore as his directorial fee, and later demanded double the amount. The studio apparently sent the actor several letters, which he turned a deaf ear to.
About a month ago, Abhishek filed a case against Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment for not giving him script credit in the sequel of ‘Rock On’.
