Shruti Haasan agrees to return Rs 18 lakh to Hyderabad-based production house

Mumbai: Shruti Haasan and PVP’s production house, Picture House Media Ltd, settled their ongoing dispute in Chennai on Wednesday. According to a source, the actress has agreed to return the Rs 10 lakh advance along with the Rs 8 lakh that the production house had spent on her costumes. To further compensate for the loss, the actress has agreed to do a special song for their upcoming film Size Zero, for free.
Shruti was originally supposed to play a cameo in the film but agreed to do the special number as part of the settlement. She has agreed to allocate four days for the song. “If she didn’t give dates for the song, the production house would have approached the Producer’s Council again for the compensation,” says a source.
The South Indian Film Artistes’ Association, the Tamil Producers’ Council, Shruti’s manager and CEO of the production house took part in the meeting in Chennai and discussed the issue nearly for 40 minutes.
