KASE signs MoU in skill training with German firms
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) has signed an agreement with Senior Experten Service of Germany and three leading German firms to provide international technical training for job aspirants in Kerala.
The initiative is part of the KASE’s International Skill Training and Employability Scheme (iSTEP).
Speaking on the occasion here on Tuesday, Labour Minister Shibu Baby John said that Kerala’s educational and socio-economic factors were best suited for the skill development practised by German companies. He said that he was enlightened by a new vision of skill development on his recent visit to Munich.
According to a statement, it was for the first time in India that a state government was entering into a partnership with SES, a non-profit foundation of German industry for international cooperation. SES offers quality training for both specialist workers and management staff within and outside Germany.
The MoU was signed by KASE managing director R. Rahul and SES project coordinator in Asia Ms. Ulrike Puetz in the presence of the minister and the German Consulate-General in Bengaluru Mr. Jorn Rohde.
